Traditional Camp  

Each day is packed with fun, friends, and learning new skills. Enjoy any of the many activities offered like archery, climbing, canoeing, swimming or fishing!  Your week will include all-camp games, campfires every night, and activities with your cabin. Each camper will also experience an exciting camping overnight.  Campers end their day in the cabin sharing stories of the day’s adventures and planning for tomorrow.

Summer Sampler    archery young man

Summer Sampler is a 3-day, 2-night action-packed adventure for the first-time camper. Try a little of everything that camp has to offer, including swimming, horseback riding, arts and crafts, archery, songs, make your own ice cream and much more. You’ll have so much fun you’ll be excited to come back next year!

Horse Camp    girl with horse

Our Horse Camp is perfect for beginner riders! Campers learn basic riding techniques such as mounting and dismounting, controlling the horse, plus horse grooming, care and safety. Weather permitting, campers will spend two hours each day at the horse corral for riding instruction. The remainder of the day is spent enjoying traditional camp activities.

Skateboarding Camp   extreme skateboarding

Experience zero-gravity while practicing airs, spins, grinds, and grabs! Bring your own board, helmet, and pads to Icaghowan. Campers will spend 21⁄2 hours each day with our skateboarding staff on our camp street course. The rest of the day will be spent in traditional camp activities. One day will be spent trying new skills at an off-site skate park.

Teen Extreme 

Can’t decide what adventure to try this summer? No problem! Teen Extreme Adventure at Icaghowan is a fast-paced, fun adventure program combining a variety of exciting outdoor activities. The group will participate in programs like rock climbing at Taylors Falls, kayaking on Lake Superior, canoeing on the St. Croix River and an overnight camping trip on the North Shore!

Pioneer and Challenger River Canoe Trips   

During a river canoe trip, adventure campers experience the challenge of navigating river waters and living in the outdoors. Campers start with 2 days of in-camp skills, safety training, trip preparation, and then shift to 10 days of canoeing on a river in Northern Wisconsin, covering 100 – 125 miles! Trips are single-gender and are led by trained Icaghowan staff.

Leadership Development Program | Junior Leaders   

The Junior Leaders program is for campers who want to learn and expand their leadership skills. The program focuses on individual leadership style investigation, identification and implementation. In addition to your fun activities at camp, your group will spend 4 days on a canoe or backpacking trip. All JL programs are single-gender and are led by experienced Icaghowan staff.

Work Leadership Camp | Counselor in Training 

The Work Leadership Camp program is designed for campers to develop and practice leadership skills in a residential camp setting. The first part of the session will focus on leadership, service-learning, and team building.  The next phase will be spent on a 6 or 7 day river canoe and camping trip developing trail and group leadership skills. The final phase is spent applying their new skills as a Counselor-in-Training (CIT) at Camp Icaghowan. CITs will be assigned to a senior staff member who will mentor them during this session.  Space is limited to 12 campers per session, which fill fast.
